On June 16, 2026, a large-scale flood control and emergency rescue drill was successfully conducted in Kaifeng, Henan Province. Located along the “suspended river” section of the Yellow River, Kaifeng faces significant flood prevention challenges. The exercise simulated a flood-induced communication blackout scenario and comprehensively tested the city’s emergency response and communication support capabilities. The event was attended by Vice Director Ren of the Henan Provincial Department of Emergency Management, Secretary Gao of the Kaifeng Municipal Committee, and Mayor Wu of Kaifeng. Multiple municipal departments participated in the drill, forming a coordinated citywide flood-response system.
To address the critical challenge of communication disruptions during flood rescue operations, the exercise utilized HuimingJie’s complete Broadband Ad Hoc Network communication system and Tethered Lighting Ad Hoc Network UAV system deployed by the Kaifeng Emergency Management Bureau. Together, these systems established an integrated air-ground communication network, ensuring uninterrupted command, coordination, and information exchange throughout the exercise.
During the drill, four core systems worked in coordination to build a resilient emergency communication network. The Triple-Screen Command Case served as the command center, providing a comprehensive operational overview and enabling real-time command and dispatch. The Surveillance and Conferencing All-in-One Terminal was rapidly deployed to integrate video acquisition, communication relay, and remote conferencing functions. The Portable Individual Communication System ensured stable communications and real-time HD video transmission in complex terrain. Meanwhile, the Tethered Lighting Ad Hoc Network UAV remained airborne continuously for up to 24 hours, providing both aerial communication relay and high-altitude illumination capabilities.
During the event, Vice Director Ren visited the static equipment exhibition area to inspect HuimingJie’s complete Ad Hoc Network communication equipment suite and Tethered Lighting Ad Hoc Network UAV system. He spoke highly of the system’s practical design and operational effectiveness in emergency response scenarios.
Throughout the exercise, HuimingJie’s technical team provided professional and efficient on-site support, ensuring the successful completion of all communication tasks. Their performance received positive recognition from leaders of the Kaifeng Emergency Management and Disaster Prevention Office.
The safety of the Yellow River is closely linked to public well-being and regional development. This exercise fully demonstrated the reliability and effectiveness of HuimingJie’s emergency communication solutions in real-world disaster response scenarios. Moving forward, HuimingJie will continue to advance emergency communication technologies and innovative equipment solutions, supporting disaster prevention, emergency rescue operations, and public safety with reliable and efficient communication capabilities.
