The Emergency Communication Equipment Procurement Project of Yunnan Fire and Rescue Corps included one set of tethered MANET UAV. The UAV supports both untethered and tethered operation. When 4G network communication is required in a specific area, the UAV can fly to that area in untethered mode to provide 4G network coverage. If the target area has already been reached and temporary 24-hour uninterrupted 4G network coverage is required, the UAV can operate in tethered mode for long-endurance hovering and regional 4G network coverage.
The system ultimately provides a highly mobile, stable, and flexibly deployable 4G network that is not limited by terrain or location, helping solve the problem of rapidly restoring mobile communication in disaster rescue scenarios in remote mountainous areas. The following is the system application topology diagram.
