Shaanxi Natural Gas established a Huimingjie UAV air-ground coordinated pipeline patrol system. Patrol personnel use UAVs equipped with HD zoom gimbal cameras and infrared gimbal cameras to conduct aerial pipeline inspection. The UAV ground control station transmits real-time images and data from the front-line inspection site to monitoring and command centers at various levels within the energy organization.
Based on the transmitted footage, command center leaders can assign dedicated personnel to handle suspicious targets or potential issues in a targeted manner. Maintenance workers can drive patrol vehicles equipped with individual soldier systems to the site for detailed inspection and maintenance.
Compared with traditional manual pipeline patrol, Huimingjie’s UAV-based patrol solution enables energy companies to identify safety hazards in a timely manner and reduce the probability of major accidents. It also supports rapid positioning and assessment of pipeline emergencies, shortens emergency response time, and helps prevent environmental pollution incidents.
